Recap of the 52nd Annual Greater American Coin Fair

The St. Louis Numismatic Association’s 52nd Annual Greater America Coin Fair that was held at the Airport Hilton in St. Louis February 12th, 13th, and14th was another successful show. The weather was not the best for the show with temperatures below freezing most of the time and light precipitation falling most days. The 110 table bourse floor was sold out and an additional 50 or so dealers roaming the bourse floor after early bird registration. The room was filled with over 1000 collectors during the three day event. Dealers from across the country were present with a great selection of both raw and certified coins and currency available for sale both for the advanced collector as well as the novice. Books and supplies were also available in an unrelated venue.

Congratulations are in order for the six Silver Eagle door prize winners. They were; Jeffrey M. of St. Charles, MO; David M. of Edwardsville, IL; Ross L. of Bridgeton, MO; Kurt W,. of Springfield, MO.; and Margaret L. of Edenburg, IL.

This winter show; sponsored by the St. Louis Numismatic Association each February, again and again proves to be one of the most successful coin shows in the area. If you were unable to attend this year’s show, please make plans to attend next year’s as it promises to be another great event.
