Recap of the 53rd Annual Greater American Coin Fair

The St. Louis Numismatic Association’s 53rd Annual Greater America Coin Fair that was held at the Airport Hilton in St. Louis February 10th, 11th, and 12th was another successful show. The weather was typical for the St. Louis area with temperature swings from the low forties to record setting highs in the seventies. The 110 table bourse floor was sold out and an additional 50 dealers roamed the floor after early bird registration. Although the spring like weather on Saturday may have kept a few browsers away, the room was filled with over 1000 buying and selling collectors during the three day event.

Dealers from across the country were present with a great selection of both raw and certified coins and currency available for sale both for the advanced collector as well as the novice. Books and supplies were also available in an unrelated venue.

This winter show; sponsored by the St. Louis Numismatic Association each February, again and again proves to be one of the most successful coin shows in the area. If you were unable to attend this year’s show, please make plans to attend next year’s as it promises to be another great event.
